Finishing the Project

Dear Blog,
Today my group and I will try to finish the whole project! We are almost done with it. We just need to add some things to the website and make voice threads. I do not know what a voice thread is. Today, Ms. Ketcham will explain it to us. Also, my group got a 100% on the last folder check. It is our second one!

Sanibel Trip

Dear Blog,
On Thursday thru Friday, there was a trip to Sanibel. If I had gone to it, I think it would be very fun. I imagine that I would collect shells, and swim with the fish. I might have also eaten marshmallows in the campfire at night. I would surely have had a lot of fun.

Halloween - My Birthday

Dear Blog,
Today is Halloween... the best day ever. It is my BIRTHDAY, too! It has been very fun. Anyway, my group and I are working very hard to finish the Web 2.0 folder. We are almost done with everything. We just need to do a little bit of research on some animals and observe the beakers with behind the school, salt and freshwaters. We also need to make some changes in the website.

Coastal Bios - Video

Dear Blog,
Today, we watched a fascinatingly interesting video. I learned so many things! I learned that 70% of earth is water. I learned that seashores are where the land meets the ocean. There are four kinds of seashores: sandy beaches, salt marshes, rocky beaches and mangrove shores. Unfortunately, I found out that someday Florida will be underwater. I also learned that humans cause many good and bad impacts on the oceans/beaches. People should enjoy seashores with great care. People go to beaches mostly to feel the peace and the rhythm of the waves.

Hollywood Beach

Dear Blog,
Yesterday, my group and I went to the beach. We colleceted our results and had lots and lots of fun. We found out that the beach's width is 100ft. Also, we found ou that the water's turbidity was 40JTU, the water temperature was 78 degrees Fahrenheit, the dissolved oxygen was 6ppm and the pH was 6.5. Yesterday, it was very cloudy and there were a lot of waves. There were only three boats and the moon was a Wanning Gibbous. It was the most fun day at the beach I have ever had.

The Beginning

Dear Blog,
My group and I have been working very hard in this project about the beaches in Florida. Until now, all we have done is editing our website (sites.google.com/site/joalanproject). I am hoping I will have a lot of fun and learn a lot by going through this project experience.
